stress-psychological-healthSign up today for a free webinar on the national standard for psychological health and safety in Canadian workplaces

In any given year, one in five people in Canada experiences a mental health problem or illness, with a cost to the economy estimated to be in excess of $50 billion annually. Mental health problems and illnesses are also rated one of the top three drivers of both short- and long-term disability, typically accounting for approximately 30 per cent of these claims in Canada.

To help Canadian workplaces address this, the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC), the Bureau de normalisation du Québec and CSA Group have released the National Standard of Canada titled Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace – Prevention, promotion and guidance to staged implementation to support mental illness prevention and mental health promotion in the workplace.

A webinar will be taking place with MHCC President and CEO Louise Bradley and MHCC Workforce Advisory Committee Chair Charles Bruce introducing this voluntary new tool to stakeholders with an interest in workplace mental health. Participants in the webinar will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the Standard.
