Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Launches New E-Courses

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has released three new e-courses to help foster, deliver, and facilitate learning for workers and employers in the occupational health and safety field.

HazCom 2012 for Workers is an e-course that will familiarize workers with the HazCom system used across the United States to provide safety information and training about hazardous chemicals in their workplaces. Participants will learn about the Hazard Communication Standard 2012 (1910.1200) which adopted the “Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals” (GHS). Although it is intended for workers in the U.S., the course has relevance for Canadian companies that have health and safety responsibilities for U.S. locations and offices.

Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems e-course registrants will gain the knowledge they need to implement a fully functioning health, safety, and environmental management system suited to the needs of their organization.

It is available as one e-course that covers both types of management systems or two separate e-courses: Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, and Environmental Management Systems. A free awareness e-course is also included.  For more information on the e-courses, please visit http://www.ccohs.ca/products/courses/ohms_enviro/
