Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform skilled work of considerable responsibility in testing, inspecting, installing and maintaining requirements for city wide fire alarm and suppression systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, regulations and City policies.

You will be responsible for all preventative maintenance functions such as inspections, tests and repairs of fire protection and alarm equipment as well as responding to trouble calls and internal and external enquiries. You must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, schematics and specifications for facilities.

Requirements

Completion of Fire Protection Certification Program and a minimum of seven years related experience is required and certification by the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) or equivalent. You must have a valid B.C. Drivers License.

This position requires completion of a criminal record check.
